Elmer’s sweeps Granada
RAPID RIVER — Elmer’s County Market erupted offensively to sweep Granada in a doubleheader in Women’s Slowpitch Softball League action here Monday night, winning the opener 21-1 and the nightcap 17-4.
In the opener, Elmer’s scored 21 runs on 13 hits to win in three innings. Lorrie Botruff went 3 for 3 for Elmer’s and Taylor Trudeau added two hits.
In the nightcap, Bridget Becker led Elmer’s (11-3) by going 4 for 4 while Kendyl Miller went 2 for 3. Laurel Ashbrook, Brenda Madden, Botruff and Trudeau each added two hits, with Botruff and Trudeau adding a double each in a game that went five innings.
Saige Sisson was 2 for 3 for Granada (0-12).
