Gladstone football camp

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Football Skills Camp will be July 22-25 from 6-7:15 p.m. each day at Marble Athletic Field.

Youth in grades 5-8 are invited to attend the Monday and Tuesday session. Wednesday and Thursday’s sessions are open for grades 9-12. The camp is free of charge and participants are asked to bring a bottle of water to each session they attend.

Irish Oaks men

GLADSTONE — James Smith shot a 33 to lead the way at the Irish Oaks Men’s League Wednesday. He was followed by Wayne Arts and Scott Kwarciany 34, Jason Micheau and Mike Pilon 35, Don Cousineau 36, Steve Gauthier, Kevin Vogel, Tim Shea and Matt Smith Jr. 37, Tom Warren and Josh Mileski 38, and Mark Weber, Mel Davis and Shane Wallin 39.

ECC men

ESCANABA — Brian Robinette led the way at the Escanaba Country Club Men’s 9-hole League Wednesday with a 33. He was followed by Alex Sullivan 35, Dom Benetti, Jake Wiles and Jeff McCall 37, Randy Setienhausen and Randy Eis 38, and Jude Vandamme, Chris Sauve, Tyler Delvaux, Jake Berlinski, Kurt Schwalbach, Dave Cannon and Ray Lamarche 39.

Robinette also led the 18-hole league with a 66. He was followed by Benetti and McCall 73, Steve Scott and Berlinski 76, Tom Zeni and Eis 77, and Dave Harris 78.

ECC women

ESCANABA — Barb Scott shot a 43 to lead the way at the Escanaba Country Club Women’s League Wednesday. She was followed by Meghan Casey 44, Mary Bergman 45, Paula Gustafson, Laura Clifford, Laurie Johnson and Crissy Strom 46, Connie Kangas and Becky Jacobson 47, Joyce Sawyer, Jessica Bray and Joannie Miller 48, and Sharon Nelson, Tina Ramos, Ann Marie Porath and Tennille Jupe 49.

Hardwick Memorial

golf scramble

GLADSTONE — The 18th Annual Gail Hardwick Memorial/Swallow Inn 4-person golf scramble is Saturday, Aug. 3rd at the Gladstone Golf Course. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10.

There will be lunch, a whitefish dinner, cash flight prizes, hole-in-one prizes and door prizes.

There is an additional fee for skins, raffles and a Par 3 challenge. Players must reserve their own cart by calling (428-9646).
