MANITOWOC, Wis. — The Bay College softball team coasted to two easy wins over Silver Lake College here Wednesday afternoon. The Norse won the opener 19-1 and the nightcap 22-0, each in five innings.

Claire McInerney, Aubree Saunders, Emily LaFave, Kaitlyn Hardwick and Lauren LaJoie all had three hits in the opener. Hardwick homered, doubled and had five RBIs. She also stole a base and scored four times. LaJoie drove in three runs while LaFave, Saunders and Eve LaFleche each had two RBIs.

Lexi Winling got the win on the mound, giving up just one run on three hits. She walked three and struck out six.

The Norse (21-7) continued their dominance in the nightcap.

McInerney and LaFleche each drove in four runs while LaFave led the charge with three hits. Emily Bruntjens, McInerney, Maddy Griffin and Richelle Vandeville all added two hits.

The Norse finished with a combined 35 hits between the two games.

Rhiley Hubert slammed the door on the mound, surrendering just two hits and one walk. She struck out seven for her fifth win of the season.

Bay visits Anoka-Ramsey for a twinbill Friday.
