Broncos speed past Knights

HARRIS — The Bark River-Harris girls basketball team defeated the Norway Knights 57-35 here Monday in a Skyline Central Conference game.

The first quarter was the deciding factor as the Broncos threatened to run away with the game.

Bark River limited Norway’s offense and capitalized to lead 23-5 at the end of the first quarter.

“We pressured and overwhelmed them in the first quarter,” Broncos coach Josh Eagle said.

The Knights recovered defensively in the second quarter, holding the Broncos to just nine points. Norway was unable to trim Bark River’s advantage but still trailed 32-12 at the end of the half.
