SC girls take a loss

FELCH — North Dickinson rolled to a 44-8 halftime lead and defeated Superior Central 72-24 in Skyline Central Conference girls basketball Monday at Carl F. Lemin Jr. Gymnasium.

Briana Smith scored eight of her 10 points in the first quarter to spark the Nordics (7-6. 5-0) to a 23-3 advantage.

“We were just happy to get off to a fast start,” said ND Coach Kirk Mattson. “That was our focus.”

Kylie Gustafson led the Nordics with 14 points, followed by Chrislyn Inglese with 11 and six assists. Ashton Hord and Smith each added 10 points.

“Overall, we passed the ball well and it was a nice win.”
