CHICAGO — The Bay College women’s basketball team soared into the Windy City Tuesday and blew away Kennedy-King College 99-25.

All 12 Norse players produced points while six players reached double digits, led by freshman Taylor Hunter of Gladstone with 17 points.

Freshman Brooke Dalgord of Big Bay de Noc added a season-best 16 points, Mid Peninsula graduate Haley Trudell and North Dickinson alum JuliAnn Wickman added 13 points apiece. Jordan Kraemer of Norway had 12 points.

The Norse (13-5) won their ninth straight game by racing to a decisive 21-6 lead in the first quarter and a 50-13 halftime cushion.

The Statesmen (1-14) had just five players available.

The Norse resume action tonight at Bryant & Stratton College.
