Nordics get Bronco revenge

FELCH — North Dickinson recovered from a third-set loss and rallied in the fourth to beat Bark River-Harris 3-1 (25-18, 25-10, 19-25, 25-23) in Skyline Central Conference volleyball Tuesday at Carl F. Lemin Gymnasium.

The Nordics (7-3 SC record), who lost to the Broncos earlier this month, dominated the first two sets. ND closed the first set with five straight points including two Savannah Longtin aces and kills from Samantha Borvan and Skye Ledzian.

The Broncos bounced back from an 11-4 deficit in the third set, getting four kills from Makena Lockwood and three from Cameron Peterson plus a Abbie Flagstadt ace to overtake the Nordics.

In the fourth set, BR-H held 20-18 and 22-20 leads. ND answered with kills from Briana Smith and Samantha Borvan and a Kylie Gustafson ace to pull ahead 24-22. After the Broncos’ Peterson delivered a kill, Nordics’ Alison Mattson ended the set and match with a block.

The BR-H summary:

Cameron Peterson 16 service points, 10 kills, 28 digs; Makenna Lockwood 11 service points, 15 kills, 25 digs; Lilian Stenberg 14 kills and 27 digs; Madison Draze 35 assists and 8 kills.
