Letter policy

The Daily Press welcomes letters of opinion from readers. Letters submitted must include the sender’s name, address and telephone number. Only writers’ names and community will be printed. Names cannot be withheld and letters should be kept to 500 words or less.

Letters to the editor should be written on topics of general interest. Personal attacks are not allowed. Only one letter per person per month may be printed. Items that appear to be “thank-you” notes are not considered letters to the editor but may instead run as “Bouquets,” which are published on Saturdays.

The Daily Press reserves the right to edit letters.

Please send letters to the editor to news@dailypress.net.

Starting at $3.50/week.
