Letters welcome
Letters should be kept as brief as possible — ideally no more than 250 words — but can be up to about 500 words. The letter must include the writer’s full, legal name, address and telephone number. Submissions without this information will not be printed. Letters are to be signed with a single name.
Potentially libelous statements and personal attacks will not be published. The Daily Press reserves the right to edit letters for length, grammar and questionable statements, or to refuse to publish questionable letters.
Letters printed represent the views of the writer, not the Daily Press.
The Daily Press normally does not publish “thank you” letters on the Opinion page except in the “Bouquets” section on Saturdays and then depending on the subject or event.
Letters can be sent to the Daily Press, Letters to the Editor, 600 Ludington St., Escanaba, MI 49829; or by email to news@dailypress.net.
