Be careful out there

EDITOR:

The Daily Press recently reported that Delta County leads the Upper Peninsula in the number of deaths attributed to the coronavirus. The majority of citizens have conformed to wearing masks now for a year.

When shopping for groceries in Escanaba, I find customers without masks in stores that have “face mask required” signs at their entrances. Why no mask? The State of Michigan has mandated that masks be worn in stores and it is still in effect. This is disrespectful to others to not wear a mask; especially the elderly as we all need to shop for groceries.

Continue to get your COVID-19 vaccinations and please wear masks in public spaces. Wear a mask for the sake of others, if not your own. It’s the right thing to do.
