Support local restaurants when they reopen

EDITOR:

Eventually, our downstate governor will “allow” businesses to reopen. At that point, how many of you will go to a sit-down restaurant? Even if it is as simple as going inside McDonald’s Burger King, Hardee’s, Wendy’s, etc.I think we should all make an effort to patronize these restaurants and give them the much-needed cash flow. Hereford and Hopps, Swedish Pantry, Crispigna’s, Andy’s, Stone’s Deli, Ludington Grill, Applewood, Ferdinand’s, Rosy’s Diner, a pizza from Muellers, Mo’s Pub. Don’t forget that the Hong Kong Buffet helped out early on with free meals. I know I have missed several, such as The Stonehouse, Thai Inn, Hudson’s, The Donut Connection, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell( they gave away tacos at least two weeks in a row.

I have heard, in the past, that Escanaba needs more restaurants. Drifter’s, KFC, Delona, Family Inn, Freshwater Tavern, LaLoca Torta, The Log Cabin, to name a few. That is nearly 30. I know I missed some. I am going to try and make it a point to get to at last 20 of these.

I’m also going to rent a video or two from Family Video along with a Subway 6-inch meatball sub. U.P. Putt on the highway is geared toward the younger crowd, but I feel young at heart. The mini-golf is pretty neat, and the food is pretty good.

When we get to re-open, let’s reopen with a bang!
