Not my ‘life issue’

EDITOR:

Recently in the Daily Press, columnist Andy Heller, wrote that the big “issue in his (whole) lifetime” is to expose the President as a leader whose vision of America is backward, prejudiced and downright wrong (almost evil). Andy believes that it is his mission to destroy Trump’s vision. In fact, if Trump continues to succeed, as Andy fears, this is not where Andy “wants to live.” A collection is currently being taken up to buy him an airplane ticket to Canada. He can join the Hollywood elite who promised to go there in 2016; oh, yeah, they reneged.

Here is what gives Andy headaches: Trump does not believe in “facts” whether they be on climate, news media, etc. Whose “facts”, Andy? Andy does not see our colleges and universities churning out liberal wonks; 90% plus of faculty/staff admit to being Leftists. He fears the media won’t be free and are too compliant, you know, the 90% who attack relentlessly. A newspaper man cannot know this?! Trump’s pro-life agenda can drive women to “coat hanger abortions”; should we favor killing more babies instead? He views Trump’s military complex as too warlike; some GOP hawks find Trump too timid wishing to avoid foreign entanglements. Andy fears for women and minorities; racial minorities especially are beginning to go GOP, because they are finally realizing that the Democrats have failed them repeatedly.

Whose facts and whose “fake news”?

Andy’s biggest fear is that Trump is succeeding. He is right. With a strong economy, a return to conservative Constitutional understanding, no PC madness, national pride restored and confusion amongst the moderate and liberal Democrats, despite the President’s rouge mouth and unfiltered tweets, he could indeed win again in 2020. Support for Trump’s policies, despite his personal weaknesses, is not limited to a few “deplorables” in flyover country. Andy’s referral to Nazi Germany, I believe, was in reference to Obama’s years and desire to “transform” America. If Trump loses next year, it won’t be his party’s agenda, but his personal style; he is his worst enemy. Andy is concerned about the “destruction of democracy”. The Democrats started that decades ago. He believes, furthermore, that he cannot remain silent while America is destroyed. Andy, the Left’s bow to every minority group’s PC wishes in the last 50 years are the destruction.

Take a chill pill, Andy. I did not like Obama’s eight-year, kingly reign at all, but I did not lose sleep, want to flee north or give up. Andy, stick to humor writing, not politics. Oops, that last column was laughable.
