Wind machine’s carbon footprint

It would be foolish to alleviate pollution by building more polluting machines, would it not? An industrial wind machine’s carbon footprint is in excess of 250 tons and when in operation it increases the surrounding temperature by at least 2 degrees. The pollution caused by these machines will remain in the U.P. while the power they produce is sent downstate to satisfy a reckless expenditure of energy. In other words, we, the U.P., will be left holding the proverbial bag. Let yourself be heard!
