EDITOR:

Some people have claimed (without evidence) that the “Marches for Our Lives” by teens and young adults across our nation on Saturday, March 24, were incited and sponsored by “violent radicals.”

But the only reputable reports that we have seen that displayed anger or the threat of violence were those showing a few counter demonstrators.

Some people just don’t get it.

But, the Parkland kids do.

A parent has only one task in life,

To strive to see that his or her children have a better life than they had.

Today, our children are marching to ask us,

How are you doing?

Are you making your home,

Your school,

Your town,

Your nation,

And this fragile World we share

A better place in which they can grow up,

To learn in,

To find love in,

And to live in?

If not, then we are failing our children.
