Enough is enough

EDITOR:

(A response to a letter written by Tim DeClaire, Nov. 11, 2017, Daily Press)

Let me state one thing right off the bat. This Daily Press is not a biased media outlet. I want to set you strait Tim on your opinion and common belief. You can state all the reports you want, but let me make it clear you don’t know anything. Your Uniform Crime Report is wrong. You are going on reported rapes the truth is more than half the rapes are never reported because of fear or abuse. I am 72 years old and have seen abuse.

I have seen fear. You don’t have any idea what women go through. On the job, and how women have fought for everything. Like the right to vote and hold office. To hold good paying jobs and men get paid more for the same job. As a woman, we can’t take this. We had to speak out and we are. We will have a woman President and things will change. We will be fair to all, not just the rich will get rich. We will care and love all people and make laws to keep our family safe. And our family will make a fair wage.

Well Mr. Declare if anyone should feel shame it is you. It is people like you that make our lives divided and if you want respect you have to earn it. I would like to thank Mr. Kossow for her letter and thank the press for giving us our right to speak out. Thank you and God bless you.
