Home and Garden Show and Pancake Days a success

This week’s bouquets go to:

From: Gordy Fitch, president, Escanaba Kiwanis Club

The Escanaba Kiwanis Club would like to thank everyone involved in making the 2022 Home and Garden Show and Pancake Days an excellent success, especially our show sponsor, American Metal Roofs of Northern Wisconsin.

This year a huge army of volunteers assisted in our set-up and tear-down and service of our pancake meal. They include members of: Delta Chamber Ambassadors, Gladstone-Rapid River Kiwanis, First Bank, Baybank, Peninsula Federal Credit Union, Integra First Federal Credit Union, and DS Tech, along with family and friends of Kiwanis.

We also appreciate the work of Rebecca Krans of the MSU Extension and the Master Gardeners for the excellent Smart Gardening presentations held throughout the weekend and the Escanaba Key Club for their pot painting and planting project for children.

We always receive excellent support from local media and this year was no exception with thanks going to RRN, WYKX, TV6 and the Daily Press.

We also received contributions from the following local businesses: Amp’d Entertainment, Elmer’s County Market, Escanaba McDonalds, Norway Springs, Carne’s ECO Fuels, Jasper Sugar Bush, Ness Contracting and UP State Bank.

Thank you also to the vendors and community members who have supported us so well for the past 65 years. We’ll see you at next year’s show April 14-16, 2023.
