LANSING, Mich. — Penny (Stammer) Bester passed away on October 5, 2025 after a long illness. Penny was born August 16, 1954, the daughter of James and Mary (Labresh) Stammer in Escanaba, MI. She graduated from Gladstone High School and then attended Bay de Noc Community College, where she earned a degree as a Registered Nurse, which was her occupation until she retired. Penny married Larry Bester on May 24, 1986, and they celebrated 39 years together, living most of that time in Lansing, Michigan.
