Virginia Kositzky

WYOMING – Virginia “Ginger” Kositzky, age 84, of Wyoming, formerly of Escanaba, MI, walked into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, January 18, 2026. Ginger was born and raised in Escanaba and graduated from Escanaba High School in 1959. She met her husband Ken there where they married in 1962, before moving to Wyoming, MI in 1974. Ginger was kind and loving, devoted to her family, and could talk to anyone. She loved playing cards, sitting down at the piano, and going shopping, always enjoying the simple pleasures of life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken in 2014; granddaughter, Kelly Treadway; brother, Ted Frizzell; sisters-in-law, Mary Frizzell, Mary Wiltse; Patsy St. Ours, and brother-in-law, Steve Germain. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dale and Kimberlee Kositzky, Tim and Rhonda Kositzky, Jill and Joel Huizinga, Mark and Darci Kositzky; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, William “Bill” Frizzell, Sally and Skip Page, Jerry and Linda Frizzell, and Kathleen “Kay” Germain, sister-in-law, Joyce Frizzell; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Burial will take place at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Saturday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
