ESCANABA — Maddox “Madman” Scott Vizineau, age 18 of Escanaba passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

Maddox was born June 12, 2007 in Escanaba, the son of Scott and Laura (Kositzky) Vizineau. He was raised in Escanaba and a graduate of the Escanaba Senior High School in 2025. Maddox worked at Elmer’s County Market and Great North Auto Wash in Escanaba. Maddox was a fun loving young man whose life was defined by connection–through trucks, music, and an endless circle of friends. He lived with passion, laughter, and an open heart. He had a deep love for his family and friends. You could generally find him in his beloved truck with the music blasting, a bag of Taco Bell and a plan to hit up the casino, always surrounded by friends. His goofy antics never ceased to make everyone around him smile. Though his time was brief, his legacy is found in the memories he created, the friendships he built, and the love he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Maddox is survived by his parents, Scott “Butch” and Laura Vizineau; siblings, Courtney Vizineau, Shae (Zach Villeneuve) Vizineau and Jaxon Vizineau; nephew, Crew Villeneuve, niece, Blakely Villeneuve; aunts and uncles, Jody Mathias, Michelle (Brian) Arnott, Kris (John) Zubek, John (Lisa) Kositzky, Joe (Laura) Gonsowski, Mark (Michelle) Gonsowski, Brian Rhoads and Tom (Brandy Bougie) Schorn; paternal grandparents, Kim and Greg Schorn; maternal grandparents, Joan and Ross Rhoads, Neil Kositzky and Sheryl Bruce; great grandparents, Robert and Gladys Schorn; cousins and numerous close and special friends.
