ESCANABA — The Northern Lights YMCA of Delta County recently donated 100 hygiene kits to local organizations serving individuals and families in need throughout the community.
The kits were distributed to Bay College, Salvation Army, Community Action and Tri-County Safe Harbor.
Each hygiene kit includes essential personal care items designed to support basic health during a time of year when resources can be especially strained.
“This time of year, money becomes a little tighter for many individuals and families,” said Caron Salo, associate executive director of the Northern Lights YMCA. “We hoped this small gesture would help fill the gap and provide support.”
The donation reflects the YMCA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the community and ensuring that neighbors have access to essential resources, especially during the winter months when financial challenges are often heightened.
