Patrick John Koeller

GLADSTONE — Patrick John Koeller, age 79, of Gladstone, passed away Monday morning, January 23, 2023 at his home. He was born on October 31, 1943 in Escanaba, the son of Edward Koeller and Phillimerre “Phyllis” Duncan. He attended Escanaba High School. Patrick married the former Rosella LaChapelle on June 24, 1963 in Gladstone and together shared nearly 60 years of marriage. He retired from Marinette Marine, a boiler maker ship-building engineer in Marinette, Wis. Following retirement, Patrick and Rose relocated to Gladstone in March of 2014. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, golfing, and gardening with his family.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Rosella Koeller of Gladstone; children, Sherry (Koeller) Hensley of North Carolina, Tracy Koeller of Madison, Wis., PJ (Patrick) and wife Laura of Gladstone; eight grandchildren, Jacob Hensley, Samuel Hensley, Jessica (Hensley) Brown, Britani Hilton, Kendle Koeller, Jordan Belongia, Jazzlynn Koeller, and Jacey Koeller; four great-grandchildren, Lyla Brown, Buddy Brown, Maddie Hensley, and Hunter Hensley; twin sister, Patricia Ketchum of Gladstone; sisters, Sandra (Harold) Jacques of Wells, and Sharon (Kenny) LaVigne of Gladstone; brother, Mike Duncan of Escanaba; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley Rochan, Phyllis Heyson, Audrey DuBord, Jack Balthazore, Bob Balthazore, Don Balthazore, and Dewey “Snooker” Duncan, Carol Micheau, Teddy Balthazore, Vernetta Balthazore
