Jane M. Peterson

Jane was born on December 9, 1928, in Gladstone, the daughter of William and Emerick (Longfield) Tufnell. Jane was raised in Gladstone and was a graduate of Gladstone High School in the class of 1947. On June 2, 1951, Jane was united in marriage to Gordon Peterson and together they spent 71 wonderful years. Jane worked for the Delta Reporter for 30 years and thoroughly enjoyed her work. She also was a member of the Senior Center, loved to read, walk, and spend time with her family. She also enjoyed being a room mother with the PTA. She will be truly missed by many.

Jane is survived by her husband, Gordon; her daughters, Peggy (Steve) Houle and Jan (Tom) Goodman; grandchildren, Jodi (Brian) Ray, Casey (Rachel) Goodman, Chad (Heidi) Goodman, Jason (Jorrie) Houle, and Sara (BJ Lauscher) Goodman; 14 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, William and Emerick; sister, Wanda (Bud) England; brother, James (Jean) Tufnell; and parents-in-law, Clarence and Elda Peterson.
