Kim L. Fabry

HERMANSVILLE — Kim L. Fabry, 64, passed away peacefully on Sept. 4, 2020 with his family at his bedside. Kim was born on April 20, 1956 to Lawrence and Emma (Maule) Fabry. He resided in Hermansville, Mich., for the majority of his life.

Many years were spent working at Superior Welding and Manufacturing in his hometown. Kim had a passion for the outdoors every day of his adult life. On any given day, he could be found hunting, fishing, cutting firewood or riding in the woods with his brother Tim, or good friend Lisa. He spent many hours reading anything and everything. His friendship, laugh and vast knowledge will be missed by many. He had a green thumb with anything he planted whether it was flowers, vegetables or trees. He found such joy in sharing the fruits of his labor by baking homemade pies, desserts and canning vegetables.

Several family members preceded him in death including his parents, a brother: Robert, a sister: Debbie, niece: Debbie Pietsch and nephew: Jon Nowack.

He is survived by three sisters: Diane(Joe) Nowack of Spalding, MI, Yvonne (Loren) Poquette, of Hermansville, MI and Sande (Ron) Pietsch, of Muskegon, MI and one brother: Tim(Colleen) Fabry, of Norway, MI. He will be sadly missed by his dear, longtime friend and companion: Lisa Quick, her daughter: Nova, her family and many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to OSF Hospice services, especially Carrie RN and Kesha MA, who cared for Kim during his last days. Also, to Superior Welding/Kelly Plunger and Nick Arduin, who gave their unending support throughout his lengthy illness.

There will be no services per Kim’s request. A ‘Celebration of Life’ gathering will take place in the future at an undetermined date.

Kim, “Goodbye is not forever, is not the end. It simply means, we will miss you until we meet again.”
