Patti M. Taylor

ESCANABA — Patti M. Taylor, 64, Escanaba, formerly of Saginaw, Mich., passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at her home with loving family by her side. She was born on Aug. 8, 1955 in Saginaw, daughter of the late Duane and Joan (Foglesong) Wachowiak Sr.

Patti spent most of her career as a phlebotomist and working in hospital labs and enjoyed it so much that after retirement she volunteered at the hospital.

Patti and Mark Taylor married in 2003 and shortly thereafter ventured north towards their life in Escanaba. Although far from family, she loved living in the U.P. and the community she found there in her Wellspring Church family.

Of all she has overcome and accomplished Patti was most proud of her children, grandchildren, and the countless hand-made keepsakes she has left her loved ones and friends.

She is survived by her husband; mother-in-law, Deloris Taylor; children, Trista Stephens, April and Marty Turner; grandchildren, ­Cassandra Stephens, Gretchen Bauer, Austin Turner, Kirsten Bauer and Megan Menchaca; step-children, Beau and Julie Taylor, Marcus and Pam Taylor, Benjamin and Tammy Taylor; step-grandchildren, Emma, Alison, Hailey, Lucy, Owen, Wade, Gabriel, Montana, and Montel Taylor; great-grandchild, Mimi Ann; siblings, Duane Wachowiak, George and Brenda Wachowiak, Madelyn and John Boelter, David Wachowiak and Amy Jones; brothers-in-law, Greg Taylor and John Taylor; nieces and nephews, Amanda and Matthew Wachowiak, Phillip and Peter Wachowiak, Nicole and Samantha Boelter.

Patti was proceeded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Micheal; and brother-in-law, Douglas Taylor.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Wellspring Community Church (located in the Delta Plaza Mall). A funeral service to celebrate the life of Patti Taylor will follow visitation at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the church with Pastor Paul Culbertson officiating.
