Amanda L. Metzger

She was born on Oct. 26, 1985 in Escanaba, daughter of Kenneth J. and Dawn M. (Gignac) Metzger. As a toddler, Amanda lived in Menominee for a couple of years but then resided in Wilson for the majority of her life. She was a 2004 graduate of Bark River High School and immediately followed her passion and attended cosmetology school in Escanaba. Amanda also attended Bay de Noc Community College.

Amanda worked out of her home as a cosmetologist and loved what she did. She also was a blackjack dealer for the Island Resort and Casino for the last five years.

Amanda was the mother of three beautiful daughters and she loved being with them. She was an outdoors enthusiast who enjoyed camping, boating, kayaking and hunting with her girls.

Among survivors are her daughters, Kenna Dawn Meshigaud, Ariel Jean Meshigaud and Taralyn Skye Scheeneman, all of Wilson; her father, Kenneth (Christina) Metzger of Wilson; grandfather, Warren (Vicky) Wandahsega and siblings, Mellissa Metzger, Manitibani Wandahsega, Kyle Boda, Trevor Wandahsega, Phillip Wandahsega and Jacob Metzger; and many other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dawn Metzger; stepmother, Donna Boda; and siblings, Kenny Metzger, Jr., Kenny Seymour Wandahsega and Bret Boda.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
