Peter ‘Pete’ Nadeau
SPRINGFIELD, La. — Peter “Pete” Nadeau, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017 at his home in Springfield, La., at the age of 70. He was born on Oct. 18, 1946. He was a member of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. He served in the U.S. Army and was a native of Nahma, Mich.
His survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Carrie Winkler, Grand Haven, Mich.; three grandchildren, Emma Winkler, Caitlin Nadeau and Skylar Skeels; one great-grandchild, Gabriella Ann Clymer; two brothers, Philip Nadeau, Gladstone and Bob Nadeau, Denham Springs, La.; two sisters, Roberta “Babe” Williamson, Sumrall, Miss., and Carol “Penny” Gagnon, Walker, La.
He was preceded in death by his son Mitchell Anthony “Andy” Nadeau; parents, Robert and Cecelia Boursaw Nadeau; three brothers, George, Tony, and Joe Nadeau; and two sisters, Theresa Nadeau and Sally Strate.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service Monday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Nadeau family.
