ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A Maryland state tax court has struck down the state's first-in-the-nation tax on digital advertising and ordered state officials to repay the tax money already collected from big tech firms. The Maryland Tax Court said the tax violates the federal Internet Tax Freedom Act as well as the First Amendment and the commerce and due process clauses of the U.S. Constitution. MSP brings teen defensive driving training to the Upper Peninsula

Upper Peninsula, Mich. — The Michigan State Police (MSP) hosted Teen Defensive Driving Programs in Brimley and Gladstone on August 15 and 16, 2026. The programs gave a total of 63 teens hands on training and practical skills to help them become safer drivers. Thirty-three students in total attended the Brimley sessions on August 15, followed by 30 students in total at the Gladstone sessions on August 16.
