ESCANABA — Yesterday morning, local 111 members gathered to celebrate the grand opening of their new training facility in Escanaba. Delta County seeks applicants for Brownfield Authority

ESCANABA — The Delta County Board is seeking community members to serve on the county’s Brownfield Authority, which was created to support the redevelopment of distressed, contaminated or functionally obsolete properties known as “brownfields”. The board is looking to appoint four members to the authority alongside Commissioner Christine Williams, who already serves on the board. Music teacher concludes 40-year career

ESCANABA — A music teacher who has been educating youth in the area for 40 years is retiring. Kathy Miron, now full of memories from teaching in Escanaba and Rock, will find more time for kayaking, camping, reading, traveling, and casually playing music in her porch or around a campfire.
