Two representatives of Billerud's Escanaba Mill, a paper and packaging materials plant, presented on their business’ participation in the Daily Press’ 34th annual Design an Ad contest on Friday at James T. Jones Elementary. Heidi Berg, human resources generalist (left), and Brooke Loman, executive administrator (right), of Billerud, taught fourth-grade students in Rebekka Bruce’s classroom about many aspects of the mill, including their products, their many plants throughout the U.P. and what the business is looking for in an ad. Several businesses are participating in the Daily Press’ Design an Ad contest, and Billerud’s Escanaba Mill is getting in on the fun. Heidi Berg, human resources generalist of the local mill, and Brooke Loman, executive administer at the mill, visited James T. Jones Elementary in Gladstone on Friday to inform students in Rebekka Bruce’s fourth-grade class about the contest and what their business is looking for in their art.
