Fireworks, a raffle, auctions, food and drink and visits from the Grinch and Santa Claus were all part of the 10th-annual tree lighting Saturday in the front yard of Carter McDonough’s home on View 17.5 Drive in Soo Hill. The event, which was bursting with attendees, raised funds for Shop with a Cop, an activity coordinated through the Delta County Sheriff’s Office that pairs children with law enforcement officers to go holiday shopping. McDonough, now 16 and a junior at Escanaba High School, first organized the event after attending the city of Escanaba’s tree-lighting ceremony as a young child.

Starting at $3.50/week.
