ESCANABA — No injuries were reported in a house fire early Wednesday that caused heavy damage at 911 First Ave. S.

The blaze caused extensive damage to the back of the home, but officers “quickly deployed attack lines to prevent the fire from spreading to the front of the house,” according to the release.

Responders were on site for approximately 2 1/2 hours.
