Grace Church, 528 28th St. in Gladstone, hosted its annual free community Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday. The meal had the traditional favorites — turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberries, sweet potatoes baked with marshmallows, green bean casserole and pumpkin, pecan and apple pies. The church has served the Thanksgiving meal for more than 15 years, with about 130 to 150 people typically turning out for the event.
