The Community Foundation for Delta County and volunteers lended a helping hand by loading food for the Easter holiday into veterans’ vehicles at the U.P. State Fairgrounds Tuesday. The project, which was a joint effort between the Delta County Veteran Service Office, the Seventh Day Adventist Community Services Food Pantry, and the Community Foundation, provided veterans with all the fixings of a traditional Easter dinner. The packages included hams, turkeys, rolls, apples and apple juice. In addition, each veteran was given a Sayklly’s fudge egg.
