Program focuses on veterans and benefits

ESCANABA — A program focusing on veterans and their earned benefits will be held Wednesday, November 29 from 10 to 11 a.m. in Escanaba. The “Saluting Service: Honoring Veterans and Their Earned Benefits” program features representatives from AARP and the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA). It will be held at the Escanaba Senior Center, 225 N. 21st St.

This program offers an opportunity to gain insights into the range of programs and benefits available to veterans. Beyond being an information session, this program aims to foster connections among veterans and their families, providing a platform to network, share experiences and strengthen community. In addition to learning about available services, participants will learn about important updates and connect with others who have walked a similar path.

“We are grateful to our veterans,” says Melissa Seifert, Associate State Director for Government Affairs with AARP Michigan. “This event is more than a tribute; it’s an opportunity for veterans and their family to learn about the benefits they’ve earned through service and connect with others with shared experiences.” To secure your spot, registration is encouraged at https://aarpmi.org/EscanabaVeterans
