HERMANSVILLE — Due to the increasing chance of COVID/omicron virus transmission, the U.P. Trappers Annual Workshop scheduled for February 5, 2022 has been canceled, event organizers said.

“It is with great disappointment that we have decided to cancel this event,” said Roy Dahlgren, president of U.P. Trappers District Three. “We know that a lot of youngsters are going to be disappointed, but under these circumstances, we are not going to hold an event which may cause serious health issues. The trappers who put this event together are very disappointed as well but all agree that cancellation is a wise move.”

Dahlgren suggests those who were planning on attending to learn about trapping should go to www.uptrappers.com. “There is a lot of information there along with the names and numbers of trappers who will gladly answer any questions, give advice, or put you in touch with someone who will help you out,” Dahlgren said.

“Hopefully our workshop will return bigger and better than ever in February 2023,” he added.

This workshop is normally held each year on the first Saturday in February.

Starting at $4.00/week.
