Venison Project helps hunters feed needy

ESCANABA — Hunters wishing to donate their deer to help feed hungry people can take their field dressed deer to Steve Soderman’s on Days River Road, Viau’s in Escanaba, or the Garden Mini Mart. Tell the processor that the meat is for Memorial Church’s Venison Project. All three processors will process the meat for free, although if you are taking the deer to Garden Mini Mart, you must first skin the deer. The meat from the Venison Project is given to local food pantries.

Starting at $3.50/week.
