Elmer’s County Market celebrated its graduating seniors Thursday by holding a commencement walk through the store. As the seniors passed by, employees with signs and shoppers cheered on the soon-to-be graduates. This is the second year of the walk, which began in response to graduation cancellations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Walking seniors included Nick Carlson, of Escanaba; Chloe Charlebois, of Gladstone; Kahler Geyer, of Escanaba; Allie Larson, of Escanaba; Wendy Leisner, of Bark River; Wyatt Madden, of Gladstone; Jaxon Vizineau, of Escanaba; and Aricin Werland, of Bark River. Three other Elmer’s employees graduating this year — Brodey Bevins, Sam Jensen and Ethan LaCarte — were unable to attend the walk.
