DELTA COUNTY BOARD
Delta County Commission
Republican David Moyle maintained his seat as the Delta County commissioner for District 4, which includes Escanaba precincts 1 and 3. Moyle received 1,025 votes (69%), beating out challenger Democrat Rebecca McIntyre, who received 453 (30%). Eight votes were cast for write-ins.
Republican Bob Barron took the District 5 seat, receiving 1,738 votes (50%). He beat Democratic incumbent Dave Rivard, who received 1,201 votes (35%), and Robert John Peterson, who was not affiliated with a party and took 460 votes (13%). Twelve votes were cast for write-ins.

NAHMA TOWNSHIP
MILLAGES
Two millage proposals in Nahma Township were approved by voters. The Nahma Township Fire Department millage, which was a renewal of a one mill ($1 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the period of 2020 to 2024 for fire department operations, passed with 257 votes in support (88%) and 35 votes against the renewal. The second proposal asked voters to approve overriding a Headlee reduction, increasing the effective millage rate by 0.2693 mills ($0.27 per $1,000 of taxable value). It passed with 163 votes of support (58%) and 117 votes against the measure.
MAPLE RIDGE TOWNSHIP
In the race for Maple Ridge Township supervisor, Democrat Andrea Micheau narrowly defeated Republican Judy Trudell, 230 votes (50.5%) to 225. The race for township trustee was also decided on a razor-thin margin with Republican William H. Toyra, Sr. and Democrat Brenda Henning securing the two open seats with 210 and 208 votes, respectively. Democrat Sandra Beauchamp was edged out of the race, receiving 204 votes, and Sherri Salmi was also defeated, receiving 151. Salmi was not affiliated with a party.
WELLS TOWNSHIP
In the race for Wells Township supervisor, Republican Bob Stasewich bested Democrat Matthew C. Jensen, 2,340 (52%) to 1,209 (43%) votes respectively. An additional 116 votes (5%) were cast for write-ins.
ESCANABA TOWNSHIP
Challenger Kim Knauf Wyckoff, a Republican, was selected to be the next treasurer for Escanaba Township Tuesday. Wyckoff received 839 votes (66%), beating Democrat Linda Trombley-Robitaille, who received 429 votes (34%). Two votes for write-ins were cast.
FORD RIVER TOWNSHIP
Voters selected Stephen Nelson to serve as Ford River Township’s next supervisor. Nelson, who was not affiliated with any party, took home 627 votes (59%), beating Democrat Jill Wiese Matin, who received 431 (40%). Ten additional votes were cast for write-in candidates.
