Delta County virus deaths rise to 15
ESCANABA — Delta County’s COVID-19 deaths has risen to 15, according to data collected by the state of Michigan. As of Tuesday, Delta County reported 744 case, 105 probable cases and 15 deaths. It is the highest COVID-19 death rate in the Upper Peninsula — along with iron County which also has 15 deaths reported.
The Upper Peninsula had 3,546 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 564 probable cases, 58 deaths and one probable death linked to the disease, as of Tuesday according to state officials.
Menominee County had 489 confirmed cases, 77 probable cases and 3 deaths; Schoolcraft County had 43 confirmed cases and 4 probable cases.
Elsewhere in the peninsula, Alger County had 48 confirmed cases and 15 probable cases; Baraga County had 46 confirmed cases, 11 probable cases and 3 deaths; Chippewa County had 58 confirmed cases and 38 probable cases; Dickinson County had 337 confirmed cases, 5 probable case and 4 deaths; Gogebic County had 182 confirmed cases, 18 probable cases, 1 death and 1 probable death; Houghton County had 668 confirmed cases, 141 probable cases and 5 deaths; Iron County had 289 confirmed cases, 13 probable cases and 15 deaths; Keweenaw County had 14 confirmed cases and one probable case; Luce County had 21 confirmed cases and 9 probable case; Mackinac County had 87 confirmed cases and 24 probable cases; Marquette County had 466 confirmed cases, 99 probable cases and 12 deaths; and Ontonagon County had 54 confirmed cases and 4 probable cases.
