In observance of Memorial Day the city of Escanaba placed American flags along Ludington Street this week. In-person ceremonies have been canceled to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Memorial Day is celebrated by Americans on the last Monday of May, honoring those who died while serving in the United States military.
