Mix of candidates take Manistique council seats
MANISTIQUE — Voters in Manistique chose a group of incumbents and challengers to fill three seats on the Manistique City Council in Tuesday’s election.
Incumbent council members Kimberly Shiner and Paul Walker, along with challengers Isaac Swisher, Joan Ecclesine, Martha Johnson, Aimee Lunsford and Ken Blowers, ran for these seats.
Ecclesine received 340 votes (27.62 percent), Johnson received 318 votes (25.83 percent), Shiner received 220 votes (17.87 percent), Walker received 194 votes (15.76 percent), Blowers received 70 votes (5.69 percent), Swisher received 53 votes (4.31 percent) and Lunsford received 36 votes (2.92 percent).
