POWERS — The North Central Area Schools Board of Education unanimously approved offering Jennifer Eichmeier a contract for the positions of elementary principal and district superintendent recently.

Bruce Tapio, the current superintendent and high school principal, will be retiring this year. He has been the superintendent and high school principal for the past four years. Tapio started as an industrial arts teacher at North Central Jr./Sr. High School in 2005.

Eichmeier has been teaching at North Central Elementary since January 2017 as a third grade teacher. Prior to her time with North Central Area Schools, she worked in Wisconsin. She is originally from the Powers area.
