ESCANABA — Three vehicles were involved in a traffic accident at the intersection of Ludington Street and 30th Street in Escanaba at noon Wednesday, according to Escanaba Public Safety, which reported minor injuries to one driver.

Drivers involved in the crash included Jonathan Salo, 46, of Escanaba, who was operating an Escanaba Taxi cab northbound on 30th Street. Steven Vosters, 54, of Escanaba, was stopped at the light and headed westbound on Ludington Street.

The third driver, Hannahville Tribal Police Officer Darrel Hardwick, 34, of Spalding, was driving a patrol car east on Ludington Street when he failed to stop at the intersection and caused the accident. He was ticketed for a traffic light violation, according to the incident report.

Salo complained of minor injuries and sought his own treatment.
