Conspiracy charges filed in meth cases

ESCANABA — Four women have been bound over to circuit court on conspiracy charges to deliver meth, according to Delta County court records.

Tiffani Lara Conner, 28, of 4935 Danforth Road, Escanaba, and Sarah Jean Doutree, 24, of 5971 Oak 22.25 Lane, Gladstone, were initially arrested on June 14 following a traffic stop in Gladstone.

Conner and Doutree were each charged with one count of controlled substance — conspiracy to deliver/manufacture meth, a 20-year felony.

The vehicle stop lead Gladstone Public Safety to a meth lab at another location. Michigan State Police Gladstone Post and the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team assisted in the investigation that lead to the arrests of Chelsea Michelle Heimerl, 25, of 10626 N.5 Road, Escanaba, and Heather Mlostek, 26, of 7111 U.S. 2 & 41, Gladstone.

Heimerl and Mlostek were each charged with one count of controlled substance — conspiracy to deliver/manufacture meth. Heimerl was also charged with one count of manufacturing meth, a 20-year felony.

All four women have been bound over from district court to circuit court.

Conner is scheduled to make a plea in circuit court on Aug. 25. Doutree and Heimerl are scheduled for pretrial conference hearings in circuit court on Sept. 11 when they may make a plea or set a trial date. No circuit court date has been scheduled for Mlostek yet.

Conner remains lodged in jail in lieu of a $250,000 cash or surety bond. Doutree and Heimerl were lodged in jail each in lieu of a $200,000 cash or surety bond. Doutree has since been released from jail. Mlostek’s bond is set at 10 percent of $175,000.

The four defendants were ordered to have no contact with one another.
