MANISTIQUE — Limestone Financial Credit Union is warning the community about a widespread phishing scam involving fraudulent text messages falsely claiming to be from Limestone’s fraud department. LANSING – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced today that free, fillable Power of Attorney forms are now available for download on the Elder Abuse Task Force’s webpage. These user-friendly forms were prepared by the Kimble Center for Legal Drafting at Cooley Law School. Teenage boy drowns in Mehl Lake

GWINN — A teenage boy is dead after drowning while swimming with friends last week. At approximately 5:30 p.m. on July 30, the Forsyth Township Police, Fire & EMS along with UP Health Systems – Marquette were dispatched to Mehl Lake in response to a report of a possible drowning involving a teenage male. Initial reports indicate that the teen had been pulled from the water by friends whom he had been swimming with.
