Dairy farming tips and networking
ESCANABA — Michigan State University Extension and the Menominee County Farm Bureau are hosting events designed to help dairy producers have a profitable year.
The second Friday of each month, MSU Extension organizes a Zoom call with Upper Peninsula dairy farmers. Today’s presenter is Dr. Pam Ruegg, speaking on mastitis control.
Next month’s topic will be on how to get the most out of vaccine programs. The presentation will be delivered by Dr. Angel Abuelo on Feb. 13. In March, the speaker will be Dr. Augusto Madureira, speaking on yet another subject relevant to the dairy industry.
Anyone who is part of the dairy community in the U.P. is welcome to join the calls for free. The Zoom meeting link is msu.zoom.us/j/92303156330. Questions about these sessions may be directed to Phil Durst at durstp@msu.edu or 989-387-5346.
