NMU to again provide Mini Pitch competition
MARQUETTE — Innovate Marquette, SISU: The Innovation Institute at Northern Michigan University and the NMU College of Business have announced the second Mini Pitch Competition for high school and college students in the Upper Peninsula.
The Mini Pitch was created for students to get the experience of a pitch competition — an event where individuals or teams present their ideas, products or business concepts to a panel of judges for a chance to win prizes — without the pressure of presenting on stage.
High school and college students in the U.P. are invited to submit a video of no more than 3 minutes in length showcasing their creative business or product idea for the chance to win a cash prize. The high school and the college winner each will receive $500, for a total of $1,000 awarded.
Students can learn more and apply at https://bit.ly/Peak26MiniPitch. Deadline to apply is Thursday, Feb. 5.
The Mini Pitch will be part of the upcoming Peak26 conference hosted by Innovate Marquette, SISU: The Innovation Institute at NMU. In partnership with NMU College of Business, Peak26 collaborators are hosting the Mini Pitch as part of the Ascent Series — a series of events leading up to Peak26. More conference details on Peak26 are to be announced soon.
