MVAA launches the MiVeteran app

LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency has created a mobile application designed for veterans and transitioning service members with navigating their earned benefits and resources.

The MiVeteran app provides quick access on mobile devices to support and services the MVAA offers, as well as showcases the opportunities Michigan has for veterans and transitioning service members to work, raise a family, continue their education and retire.

“The launch of this mobile app represents a significant advancement in our ongoing commitment to serving veterans,” MVAA director Brian Love said. “By putting essential benefits and resources right at their fingertips, we’re making it easier than ever to access the support they’ve earned — anytime, anywhere.”

MiVeteran offers a variety of resources and information including:

— DD-214 requests;

— Find a veteran service officer;

— State of Michigan benefits;

— Employment;

— Education;

— Housing assistance;

— Health care and disability;

— Transitioning service members benefits guide;

— Michigan Veterans Homes;

— Michigan National Guard Family Programs.

The MiVeteran app is free and can be downloaded on a mobile device in the App Store and Google Play Store.

The MVAA is the central coordinating agency, providing support, care, advocacy and service to veterans and their families. As a state agency, MVAA works to identify and break down barriers veterans face in employment, education, health care and quality of life, to make Michigan a great place for veterans and their families to call home.
