With the “Woods and Water” theme setting a warm and familiar tone, this year’s Delta County Chamber of Commerce annual dinner on Oct, 9 felt like a true reflection of life in Delta County — where our seasons, shoreline and surrounding forests shape both our lifestyle and our community spirit. It was the perfect backdrop to celebrate the many activities and events that unfolded on and offshore throughout the year.
One of the evening’s most meaningful moments came with the presentation of the Evergreen Award, also known as the Non-Profit Organization of the Year Award, sponsored by Radio Results Network. This honor recognized Krusin’ Klassics, a nonprofit whose steady dedication and lasting contributions strengthened our community year after year. Like the evergreen tree — strong, vibrant and enduring through every season — this year’s recipient embodies the very spirit of commitment that keeps Delta County moving forward.
For 40 years, Krusin’ Klassics has been more than a car club — it has been a living, breathing part of Delta County’s story. What began in 1985 as a small gathering of 10 cars in a dealership parking lot grew into a beloved tradition, drawing hundreds of classic cars and thousands of visitors to our area for the annual Fun Run Parade and Car Show.
But the beauty of Krusin’ Klassics doesn’t stop at the shine of chrome or the hum of engines. It lies in their heart — their dedication to giving back. Through their events, they’ve raised and distributed tens of thousands of dollars to support local causes such as the U.P. Honor Flight, Walk for Warmth, the Delta County Cancer Alliance, local food banks and scholarships for Bay College automotive students.
Each year, their generosity fuels warmth, opportunity, and care — helping those in need, honoring our veterans, and investing in the next generation.

For four decades, Krusin’ Klassics brought people together — young and old, locals and visitors — to celebrate craftsmanship, community and connection. And though the club may be winding down its engines, its spirit will continue to roll on. The Ludington Street Cruise will carry that torch forward, reminding us all that legacy doesn’t fade — it evolves.
The chamber and RRN extend heartfelt thanks to Krusin’ Klassics for their steadfast commitment to Delta County — a true reflection of what it means to grow strong, give generously, and remain evergreen in both spirit and service.
