Kuchenberg new trustee on Bay College’s board

Cory Kuchenberg

ESCANABA/IRON MOUNTAIN — The Bay College Board has appointed Cory Kuchenberg as a trustee to fill the vacancy created by Eric Lundin’s resignation, which takes effect today.

Lundin served Bay College for nearly 18 years, providing valuable insights and attention to detail, especially in financial and enrollment matters, as well as in the hiring of Bay College presidents Dr. Laura Coleman in 2006 and Dr. Nerita Hughes in 2023, the board states in a news release.

The board chose Kuchenberg on Wednesday to fill the remainder of Lundin’s term, which expires Dec. 31, 2026.

Kuchenberg brings experience in the financial services industry as a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Escanaba and previously as a loan officer at U.P. State Bank. He is also owner of Great North Auto Wash in Escanaba. Kuchenberg has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Lake Superior State University and is an alumnus of Bay College.

“On behalf of the Bay College Board of Trustees, past and present, we extend our deepest gratitude to Eric Lundin for his 18 years of dedicated service to Bay College,” board Chair Nick Chenier said in the release. “Eric’s countless contributions have played a vital role in shaping Bay into the outstanding institution it is today. Eric’s insight, leadership, and commitment will be profoundly missed. We wish him and his family all the very best in the years ahead.”
